Overview
Late is a social media scheduling platform designed to help users manage and publish content across multiple platforms. To maintain a safe, productive environment and comply with platform policies, we require all users to follow these content guidelines.
Prohibited Content & Activities
1. Spam & Abusive Behavior
Users are strictly prohibited from:
- Posting duplicate or substantially similar content: Repeatedly posting identical or near-identical content across multiple accounts or platforms
- Mass posting: Publishing identical or near-identical content in rapid succession
- Automated spam behavior: Including but not limited to:
- Publishing the same content to unrelated or inappropriate channels
- Using our service to artificially inflate engagement metrics
- Flooding platforms with repetitive messaging
- Promotional spam: Unsolicited advertisements, affiliate links, or commercial content posted excessively
- Link spam: Including shortened links that redirect to unrelated content
- Engagement bait: Content designed solely to manipulate platform algorithms
2. Illegal or Harmful Content
You may not use Late to post content that is:
- Illegal under applicable laws
- Threatening, abusive, or harassing toward any individual or group
- Defamatory, libelous, or fraudulent
- Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Violates intellectual property rights of others
- Involves child exploitation or endangerment
- Promotes violence or self-harm
3. Platform Terms Violations
Users must comply with the Terms of Service of all connected social media platforms, including but not limited to:
- Twitter/X Terms of Service
- Facebook Community Standards
- Instagram Community Guidelines
- LinkedIn Professional Community Policies
- YouTube Community Guidelines
- TikTok Community Guidelines
- Pinterest Community Guidelines
- Reddit Content Policy
- Threads Community Guidelines
- Bluesky Community Guidelines
Late will not facilitate content that violates these platform policies.
Acceptable Use Guidelines
Encouraged Use
- Authentic content: Content that provides value to your audience
- Scheduled posting: Maintain consistent presence across platforms
- Platform-specific customization: Optimize content for each channel
- Professional use: Business communication and marketing
- Creative content: Content that respects copyright and platform guidelines
Best Practices
- Vary your content: Avoid posting identical messages repeatedly
- Respect rate limits: Don't overwhelm your audience with excessive posts
- Customize for platforms: Adapt content appropriately for each social network
- Engage authentically: Use Late to facilitate genuine communication
- Respect copyright: Only post content you have rights to use
Enforcement & Account Actions
Warning Process
- First Violation: Warning email with specific violation details
- Second Violation: Temporary account suspension (7-30 days)
- Third Violation or Severe Abuse: Permanent account termination
Immediate Suspension
The following may result in immediate account suspension without warning:
- Severe spam activity affecting platform reputation
- Posting illegal content
- Coordinated inauthentic behavior
- Deliberate Terms of Service violations after previous warnings
- Activity that threatens the security of our service or users
Account Suspension
When an account is suspended:
- All scheduled posts are paused
- API access is revoked
- Connected social accounts are disconnected
- Account data is preserved for the suspension period
Account Termination
Permanent termination results in:
- Complete loss of account access
- Deletion of all scheduled posts
- No refund for active subscriptions
- Prohibition from creating new accounts
Appeals Process
If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error:
- Email miki@getlate.dev with:
- Your account email and user ID
- Detailed explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect
- Any supporting evidence or context
- Appeals will be reviewed within 3-5 business days
- Our decision after appeal review is final
Account Recovery
For users whose accounts are temporarily suspended:
- Review these Content Guidelines thoroughly
- Delete or modify any violating scheduled content
- Contact miki@getlate.dev to request reinstatement
- Demonstrate understanding of the violation and commitment to compliance
Note: Recovery is not guaranteed and depends on the severity of the violation.
Why Your Account Was Blocked
If you received this document because your account was suspended for spam activity, this typically means:
- You posted identical or substantially similar content across multiple accounts or platforms repeatedly
- You scheduled excessive duplicate content in violation of platform guidelines
- You engaged in behavior that platforms identify as spam or inauthentic
- Your posting patterns indicated automated abuse rather than authentic engagement

If you notice another user violating these guidelines:
